In January 2020, Rommert Boonstra, Hans de Jong and Jan Oud founded the company in2E. You will find over 20 years of electrical experience in the maritime and offshore market. Our goal is to serve the world independently with innovative, dedicated and high quality engineering, consultancy and project management for the maritime and industrial market.
Our intention is to work together in a partnership and help our clients in their projects with specialist experience in electrical systems and system design taking into account the operation profile of the project. We act independently (no pre contracted solutions, materials et cetera) in order to offer the client the best solution and in many cases make the choices together. in2E will assist in taking decisions based on relevant information on the right moment.
With in2E you are provided with high quality electrical engineering, advice and project management at all stages, such as: pre-engineering, tendering, contracting, demarcation and building process. In addition, we provide support for new innovative designs and service requests.
Growing up in Friesland, Jan enjoyed the lakes with surfing and boats. After studying electrical engineering and a Master of Science in Business, he bundled his knowledge and interest in his job at Alewijnse Marine Systems. As an electrician, commissioner, (software) engineer, project manager (5 years) and business unit director (10 years) he developed his skills in system integration, innovation, (international) project management, optimisation in the way of working, working with a team, managing the company’s capacity and customer focus.
From 2016 to 2020, he held management positions in Project Management, Design & Engineering, System Integration, Outfitting and Contract Management at Kuipers Woudsend and Bijlsma Wartena.
From 2020, he decided, together with Hans de Jong and Rommert Boonstra, to set up his own company “in2E” with a focus on electrical engineering and project management. He stands for an independent cooperation in innovative and high quality engineering, system integration, consultancy and project management with always the client in mind with his company and objectives.
In 1997, Rommert obtained his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and started his career at Alewijnse, an electrical systems integrator in the Netherlands, as a trainee. After his traineeship he became an electrical engineer and after a few years he was lead engineer. While working in the Alewijnse team, he kept in close contact with the client in order to realise the design of the installation according to the client’s expectations.
In 2017, he joined Danfoss Editron (formerly Visedo) as lead engineer for the design of DC (propulsion) systems.
In 2020, Hans de Jong, Jan Oud and Rommert decided to start up the company in2E. Within in2E, Rommert focuses on electrical engineering in close cooperation with the client.
After his studies, Hans started working for the electrical system integrator Alewijnse. From the panel building department, Hans quickly moved on to the engineering department where he developed his skills in system integration, innovation, working with a team and detail engineering using Eplan and AutoCAD.
From 2017 to 2020 he worked as an electrical engineer at the companies VDH Products and Danfoss Editron.
From 2020, he decided to start his own company together with Jan Oud and Rommert Boonstra, focusing on being an independent partner in electrical engineering, project management and consultancy.
He brings to the team extensive knowledge in detail engineering, system integration and the creation and maintenance of structure in projects and working methods.
